Support Recovery After Life-Altering Attack
Donation protected
On October 1st, everything changed for me in the blink of an eye. I was a victim of being shot three times. I was shot in my left hand, my left breast, and my left side lower abdomen by someone who was trying to rob me in my vehicle. I had been rushed into emergency surgery; I wasn't sure I'd make it. My lungs, liver, intestines, and bowel had been damaged. They had to remove inches off of my intestines and liver. I had a 12-inch incision from my chest to my belly button, with over 35 staples and stitches from the incident. I'm now home on bed rest for another month,I'm fundraising because I cannot work and don't get medical leave or sick time pay at my job given I'm a caregiver.
