Support Reflection Way's Film Production

Reflection Way is an indie student short film written and produced by Jillian Stob and directed by Marco Gilardi.

It's about Lois, an elderly woman, who visits her son Felix and his wife Mandy to attempt to reconcile her husband Les’ decision to not tell Felix he was on his deathbed. While Felix refuses to have anything to do with his mother, thinking she was the one to withhold that information, heavily pregnant Mandy has other plans. She sets them up on a trip to Chicago in which they are forced to travel together. Felix, wanting to live up to his late father’s expectations of following his passion for filmmaking, has to grapple with Lois’ attempted reconciliation. Ultimately the truth comes out about his father’s death, leading to the testing of their relationship.

Reflection Way is currently in the middle of pre-production as of October 2024. We are 7 weeks out from our first shooting weekend. We plan to shoot the film over the course of three weekends. One weekend is at the beginning of December, and the other two are the last two weekends in January, with the weekend after set aside for potential re-shoots. Our pre-production process looks like this right now: we are creating storyboards and shot lists, working on an initial marketing plan by starting an Instagram and website for the film, and between now and the first week of November, we will be booking accommodations and travel and officially hiring actors.

We are currently looking for donations because we are only able to afford our first weekend of filming at the moment. In order to finish the film, we will need $1,250.

Receiving funding from generous people like you would be a blessing to us as we start our filmmaking careers in a couple of years. We believe that this film will be a wonderful learning experience for us and a touching and beautiful experience for our audience. We couldn’t do it without the support of our school community, family, and friends who take chances on filmmakers to follow their filmmaking dreams!
