Support Refugees' New Beginnings in the DMV

Our team is welcoming a newcomer through the new Welcome Corps program. We are all employees at the headquarters of HIAS, a refugee resettlement agency, living in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. However, we are doing this project as volunteers outside our normal work so that we can put our skills to use creating a warm, welcoming community for our new neighbors..

As a certified sponsor group, we are responsible to support their initial resettlement needs for their first 90 days in the United States: housing, food, home furnishings, transportation, pocket money, and other needs.

Donated funds will go directly to the initial resettlement needs of newly arriving refugees matched with our HIAS sponsor group through the Welcome Corps.
