Support Reggie St. Brice in His Fight Against ALS.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Reggie St. Brice. I was diagnosed with ALS last year during the height of being a community activist. I've had a long year of accepting the reality of my neurologist. I have to be honest, the shocking truth of being diagnosed with a deadly disease is a hard pill to swallow.
For years, I achieved happiness by bringing smiles to the faces of others, only to be overwhelmed by friends and family doing their best to make me smile during these hard times.
It's the strength and support of others who have helped me deal with this deadly disease with grace. As I watch my muscles deteriorate, I'm reminded by others how much I've helped hold them up when I was healthy. It's these stories that keep me going to see the next smile. It's the type of friends and community support you would hope for if your life was on the line, and I'm forever grateful.
For those that don't know, ALS is a disease that affects your limbs and with time, your whole body, leaving you paralyzed or worse. Most require a tracheotomy procedure just to breathe.
I don't know how much time I have left. Already, it pains me to talk or do the basic movements that we take for granted. What I do have is the support of the community and it's what wakes me up every day. I may not be able to call or pick up the phone because of the pain, but the love I feel from friends and supporters is bigger than any pain pills I can take. You are the wind and strength beneath my wings, and I hope to one day show each individual how much they meant for me in my time of need.
Share love ❤️ to the world, be kind to others, and please don't take life or the people who matter to you for granted. My chances of seeing a cure for me might be slim, but I hope for others there's one day a cure for all. Thank you for your time and patience in reading this fundraiser, and thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who reads, shares, or donates to the help of my care.
