Support Regina Graessle’s Cancer Battle
Donation protected
As I’m sure some of you know, our mom, Regina was diagnosed with Stage-3 Esophageal Cancer in September 2020. What started off as difficulty swallowing and chest pain quickly became a fight for her life, one that she didn’t ask for but was immediately ready to fight not only for herself but for all of us around her.
She started with 5 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation followed by surgery in January 2021 to remove the tumor as well as parts of her stomach and esophagus. This of course, had its own set of issues which led to a long stay post-op due to heart issues and infections before a lengthy recovery at home. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of the battle. In July, we learned the cancer had spread to her liver. Without hesitation, our mom was ready to go back to battle, which is not a surprise to any of you that know her. She is currently doing a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy with other operative procedures to take place.
The unfortunate reality of cancer in today’s world is that it is no longer just having to worry about having the physical and mental strength to fight it but also in how to pay for it. The aggressive nature of our mom’s cancer has made her unable to work and made the medical expenses an obstacle as harsh as the diagnosis itself.
We are kindly asking for any donation that you can make to help us in this fight. If you are unable to donate, we will gladly accept any prayers, and ask you to spread the love and kindness that Regina always radiates and has continued to do even through this entire process. She has always been a hero to us in the way she treats others, but the way she has dealt with cancer by maintaining her kindness and never asking “why me?” has been nothing short of extraordinary.
We thank you all for taking your time to read this and know her resilience will allow her to beat this.
Sincerely,
Jessica, Nicholas, & Kayla
