Support Rene Martinez's Family in Their Time of Loss

Rene Martinez - one word to describe him is a FIGHTER! Uncle Rene touched so many people's hearts. He has been fighting a battle a long time. He was first diagnosed with Marian Syndrome in 2010, he then suffered a stroke in 2013. He had his beautiful family to fight for and he did just that, he kept fighting even though there were times he wanted to give up. On July 12, 2024, Uncle Rene underwent an extremely risky surgery to treat an aortic aneurysm and dissection. After over 3 weeks in hospitals (UCI in Orange and UCSD in La Jolla) and many complications, on August 3 Uncle Rene lost his battle and is now resting in heaven.
Uncle Rene was many different things to different people, but to us he was Dad, Poppa Turtle or Uncle Rene. Uncle Rene was a loving son and husband, he was a loving and devoted father to all 6 of his children. Brianna, Anthony, Jonathan, Daniel, Manuel, and Mikey. Not only was he a loving and dedicated father to his children and grandchildren, he always made sure to make time for family as he loved all his nieces and nephews. He was just an all around amazing human being, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
As we come to terms with Uncle Rene’s passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell. We want to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves, but unfortunately, the cost of funeral expenses is overwhelming for his children and our family during this already challenging time. We are reaching out to you for support in honoring Rene Martinez’s memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow us to focus on grieving and remembering him fondly.
We appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to us as we navigate through our grief. Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Together, we can give Rene the farewell he deserves.
