Support Rex & his family after dog attack

Hi, my name is Lauren Turner and I am organising this fundraiser for Rex and his family following he was attacked by two larger dogs at Shoalhaven Heads dog park on 16 May 2024. Ashlea, Jacob and their children took their placid 8 month old blue heeler puppy Rex to the dog park and he was brutally attacked by two larger dogs. Jacob also sustained injuries being bitten by the dogs trying to save rex.

Rex was rushed to Bomaderry vets and had major surgery for 5 hours for his wounds including reattaching his genitals, multiple puncture wounds and lacerations. Rex' entire elbow was exposed from one of the lacerations and his two front legs have been repaired as best as possible after the two dogs tore them open when they were trying to rip him apart. He has multiple drains for the major wounds and too many stitches throughout his body to count. He is not out of the woods yet as the chance of infection is very high.

Funds raised will go directly to Ashlea Newman and Jacob Beaven to use as they wish to heal from this traumatic injury and provide support to Rex, Jacob and the family to recover.
