Support Reyna Family After Tragic Loss

This is on behalf of my brother Osiel:

On August 4th, 2024, our lives were turned upside down by a devastating car accident that claimed the life of our beloved Zachary Josiah Reyna. Zachary was traveling back with my parents, Antonia and Fructuoso Reyna, and his brother Malaki from our yearly church convention from San Luis Potosí in Mexico when the tragedy occurred. At just 5 years old, Zachary was a beacon of joy and love, brightening every day with his infectious smile and boundless energy. We find solace in our faith, believing Zachary is now in the loving arms of God.

In addition to our profound loss, my parents are facing serious medical challenges. Their recovery is of utmost importance to us, and they are in need of significant medical care as they’re both in Mexico and are uninsured. My mom is in critical condition in a hospital in San Luis Potosi and my dad is stable and God willing will be released today from the hospital in Matehuala.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we are seeking support from our community and church brothers and sisters to help with the unexpected financial burdens. The funds raised will go towards covering the costs to bring back Zachary to the U.S., the medical expenses for Antonia and Fructuoso, and other related needs.

Your generous contributions will not only help us honor Zachary’s memory but also provide much-needed relief for Antonia and Fructuoso as they work towards recovery. Each donation, no matter the amount, is a meaningful gesture of support and love during this challenging period.

El 4 de agosto de 2024, nuestras vidas se vieron trastornadas por un devastador accidente automovilístico que reclamó la vida de nuestro querido Zachary Josiah Reyna. Zachary viajaba de regreso con mis padres, Antonia y Fructuoso Reyna, y su hermano Malaki desde nuestra convención anual de la iglesia en San Luis Potosí, México, cuando ocurrió la tragedia. Con solo 5 años, Zachary era un faro de alegría y amor, iluminando cada día con su sonrisa contagiosa y energía inagotable. Encontramos consuelo en nuestra fe, creyendo que Zachary ahora está en los brazos amorosos de Dios.

Además de nuestra profunda pérdida, mis padres están enfrentando serios desafíos médicos. Su recuperación es de suma importancia para nosotros. Ambos se encuentran en México y no tienen seguro; mi mamá está en estado crítico en un hospital en San Luis Potosí, mientras que mi papá está estable y, si Dios quiere, será dado de alta hoy del hospital en Matehuala.

Mientras navegamos por este momento increíblemente difícil, buscamos el apoyo de nuestra comunidad y de nuestros hermanos y hermanas de la iglesia para ayudar con las cargas financieras inesperadas. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir los costos para traer de regreso a Zachary a los EE.UU., los gastos médicos de Antonia y Fructuoso, y otras necesidades relacionadas.

Sus generosas contribuciones no solo nos ayudarán a honrar la memoria de Zachary, sino que también proporcionarán el alivio tan necesario para Antonia y Fructuoso mientras trabajan en su recuperación.
