Support Rhean's Fight Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
We are reaching out to you on behalf of the Maitlin and Ashton Toth Family as they face an unimaginable challenge. At the end of October, they noticed their 6-month-old, Rhean, had some unusual eye movements. After a trip to the ER, the doctors discovered baby Rhean has a brain tumor. After several tests, baby Rhean has been diagnosed with ependymoma, a treatable but aggressive and fast-growing brain cancer.
This brave little fighter has already undergone surgeries to minimize the size of the tumor and the placement of a shunt to help his body rid itself of the fluid buildup around his brain. This particular tumor requires urgent treatment. He just started his first cycle of chemotherapy. He will also likely require radiation and follow-up surgeries, some of which will require trips for specialized treatment at Seattle Children's Hospital. All of these interventions bring with them substantial costs and immense levels of stress. Funds are intended to ease that stress wherever possible. Donations can help ease the financial burden of whatever treatments are needed and allow them a little breathing room for fun as they try to find a new normal and still provide their three sweet boys with meaningful memories together.
As you can imagine, Ashton and Maitlin are rather overwhelmed and ask not to be contacted directly at this time. For updates or another way to help, please contact Mike or Raelyn Toth, Rik or Heidi Stewart, or Rhean’s aunts and uncles.
We have faith in prayers and believe in miracles. Your prayers and love are appreciated and so, so needed. Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
