Support Rhonda's Heart Surgery Recovery

Hi my name is Barbara Scott. My friend and fellow music lover Rhonda Dallmeyer needs our help! At a routine visit with her family doctor, he discovered/ heard a murmur. She will undergo open heart surgery to replace her arterial valve. This stems from a birth defect that was only recently discovered (6 months ago). Two echocardiograms later confirmed the damage to the heart. She also underwent and angiogram to determine if any arteries were blocked. Her heart is regurgitating blood and the cardiologist has warned that if this isn’t dealt with now, it could cause a major cardiac event that she most likely wouldn’t survive. Her post surgery recovery is expected to be 8-12 weeks. During that time she cannot drive at all due to the chance of an airbag deployment that would kill her instantly. She will have short term disability in place, but as some of you may have experienced, it isn’t much. Helping her out financially will help take some the stress (which needs to be avoided!) off of her already fragile heart. She has a heart of gold, no matter what those doctors say!!
