Six months ago, our dad had a massive stroke and was rushed to ICU where he was diagnosed with severe and extensive brain injuries. After several surgeries and many procedures, he continues to battle for his life daily. Our journey has been a rollercoaster, with highs and many lows which have resulted in extreme emotional and financial pressures.

Fast forward to the present, dad is currently in a rehabilitation facility in Jacksonville, Florida with a rigorous schedule of three hours plus therapy every day. Our dad’s 40 year plus baseball career is a true testament to his lifelong commitment of hard work and physical health. He is an amazing husband to our mom, Chris and a father to us three girls and our families. He always put others first; the true definition of a servant leader.

Our family wants to ensure that dad receives the necessary medical attention he will require, however, we have been confronted with astronomical and devastating out-of-pocket medical expenses as we move forward. Our projected out-of-pocket monthly expenses between now and December 31 will be $450,000.
