Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

We are reaching out to ask for your support in helping our beloved coworker, Richard Kalin, recover from a devastating accident. On July 5th, 2022, Richard suffered a severe head injury after a tragic fall at work. This accident has turned Richard and his family's lives upside down and has presented immense financial challenges.

Richard has been an integral part of the car stereo industry for over four decades. His career began in Charlotte, NC, where he made a name for himself at iconic stores like Harvey’s Warehouse, Tarts, Stereo Village, and Ed Kelly’s. When he moved to Seattle, he became a pioneer in the industry, serving as the first Regional Manager for Car Toys. His passion for audio and his dedication to his customers have been evident throughout his career as he continued to excel at Innovative Audio, Magnolia HiFi, Best Buy, Custom Plus Distributing, Snap One, and most recently, Foss Audio and Tint.

After the accident, Richard spent a grueling 22 weeks in Seattle's Best Trauma Center, Harbor View Hospital, battling for his life and rehabilitation efforts. While he is on the road to recovery, the journey has been long and arduous, both physically and emotionally. Two years after the accident, he still struggles to communicate and needs around the clock care and assistance. The reimbursement amount for Richard's essential in-home care has been incrementally decreased as time passes, but his need for it has not. The medical expenses, coupled with lost wages, have created a significant financial burden for Richard and his family.

We are hoping to raise $75,000 to help alleviate some of the financial stress Richard and his family are facing. These funds will be used to cover medical bills, living expenses, and other related costs.

Richard is a cherished member of our community, and his positive spirit and unwavering dedication to his work have inspired us all. We know that with your support, we can help Richard focus on his recovery without the added worry of financial hardship.
