Support Rick Rocha's Recovery and Rent

Hi, I'm Rick Rocha, desperate times call for desperate measures it seems. I really don't like being in this place, asking for money.

First I'm new to being out of work because of an injury, so the process has not been easy.

I injured my hand back in December of 2023, this was work related but really not a on the job injury; a repetitive motion job we had at work causing this to develop over few days.

I have been on temporary disability since then, not workmans comp. and have not received any compensation from work insurance thus far, and I may not be receiving any. Again, I have not had income since Dec. 2023, I live alone.

Work insurance only recently instructed me to open a disability claim with my State. Apparently, my work insurance don't pay out until my State benefits are paid out. At which point work insurance will pay a balance due to me. So confusing.

At this time, State benefits are going to deny my claim because I am unable to have one form filled out by a Health Care Provider. I am in that process now to find someone to fill this form out.

Since my injury began, I have not seen a doctor but I have been getting treated by my acupuncturist, a woman I have been using for years, any time I had some muscle issue, etc. She is not a Health Care Provider and cannot fill out the form for State benefits. My hand is almost 90% healed and I am ready to get back to some type of job. I am losing my current job this week because I am unable to perform the job required.

Those that know me realize I teach Qigong & Tai Chi, but the money I make teaching is small and only covers a few bills. I live a very simple life; no cable, no internet, no subscriptions with Amazon, etc...just basic bills.

On top of losing my job, I am close to losing my apartment as well, rent has backed up.

I'm hoping to just get caught up on rent or enough to satisfy the owner/landlord. She has been very patient and respectful during my time out of work, thus far.

I'm hoping to raise $4, 800

This amount would cover just my rent owed.
