Support Ricky and Angie Shires' Recovery

Donation protected
Ricky and Angie Shires have been an integral part of the Chapel Hill community for many years, between their personal business pursuits, volunteerism, and friendship.

The Shires were in a horrific car accident on July 8, 2024 following the series of storms brought on by Hurricane Beryl. They were hit head on and pulled from their mangled vehicle by good Samaritans. Ricky had a brain bleed, his arm was surgically repaired, and he was released relatively quickly. Angie’s condition, however, is more dire.

Angie has spent the last week bed-bound, suffering from two broken arms, a broken leg and the opposite broken ankle, multiple spinal fractures, and a myriad of internal injuries. Her recovery will be long and grueling, and because both Ricky and Angie are self-employed, they will require supplementary financial assistance throughout.

We are asking their community to help rally around the Shires, as they have often rallied around others in their times of need. No amount is too small, and we are eternally grateful for your generosity, love, and continued prayers.
