Support Riley's Eagle Scout Gaga Ball Pit Project

Hi!

My name is Riley Strickland, and I’m a Boy Scout from Troop 64 out of St. Gabe’s Church in Concord, OH!

I am sixteen and currently a Junior at Riverside High School in Painesville OH, where I play the trombone in their concert band, as well as in the Riverside Marching Band and in the Jazz Impact group at Lakeland Community College. In addition, I play the violin and have released three albums on Spotify! I am also the co-president of Riverside’s Green Button Club, a club which aims to promote mental health awareness throughout the community surrounding Riverside. After high school, I want to attend Oberlin’s Conservatory of Music to study to become a music therapist.

I’m currently working on my Eagle Scout Project and am trying to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout by the beginning of 2025. My project is going to be the construction of a Gaga Ball Pit at Buckeye Elementary School to provide the bright students of Buckeye Elementary with a fun, action-based activity to do during their recess time.

I believe this project will provide a lasting impact on the community surrounding Buckeye Elementary, as well as the future leaders that will come from Buckeye.

With that, however, comes a substantial cost to funding the project, including lumber, brackets, food, tools and materials. I am requesting your help to make this project happen.

I would be more than appreciative of any donations you would be willing to give to this project. Donations will mainly be used to purchase lumber, the bracket kit to fasten the sides and the playground wood chip required for the base of the pit.
