Support Rise Up for Science

We are a group of students, researchers, and community members from the Urbana-Champaign area who have come together to create Rise Up for Science.
Our mission is to:
- Stand in support for funding the sciences
- Stand in support of DEI in the sciences
- Oppose the federal cuts to scientific institutions
- Oppose censorship and political interference
- Bridge the gap between the community and science
In the spring of 2025 we organized the March for Science and Stand Up for Science marches and rallies, and The People's Science Fair. We will continuing to organize locally to defend science and the UC community.
When science is under attack, what do we do?
