Support rising tennis player Pav’s tennis journey

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

We are the incredibly proud parents of Pavana Nrshinga who is a promising junior tennis player within the U-14s tennis community in the UK. We have supported him, as any parents would, from an early age to pursue his dream of playing tennis at the highest level. This has involved the constant travelling to meet a gruelling schedule of training and competing, as well as everything else this entails - long days of training, managing diet, home schooling and of course, financing all of this ourselves as parents with occasional help from LTA with a few federation organised and sponsored international trips and training camps.

To date, what Pav has achieved is nothing short of remarkable. He has played 991 LTA sanctioned matches to date and is holding few national titles to his name in singles and doubles category. He is currently ranked as number 3 in the UK in his age category 14 and under boys and was as high as number 1 in the previous years prior to his injury which forced him to take an 8 months break from the competition.

He has represented the winning Team GB in the European Championships in 2023 and has consistently reached the finals of both national and international events in categories 1 and 2 in both U-12 and U-14 age groups since 2021.

Through his dedication and hard work, Pav was also one of the two U-12 players invited from Great Britain to the Rafael Nadal Academy closed event in 2021. His most recent achievement in the last two months are a final of Category 2 Tennis Europe 14 under boys tournament and winner of Grade 1 in doubles.

He trains 20+ hours a week and has the best coaching team available in the UK that is currently supporting and training him as a player whilst also finding time to study and excelling in his exams. Playing tennis at a professional level has been Pav’s long-life dream.

The cost of supporting Pav is significant; made up of coaching fees, travelling, accommodation, competition fees, physio, etc. and these costs run into the thousands each year. Whilst we have managed to finance this ourselves up to now, we are appealing to all of you to support Pav reach even greater heights and his full potential. As you can see from what he has already achieved, Pav has the potential to compete at the highest level of tennis but we can’t get him there by ourselves. They say it takes a community to raise a child and we are reaching out to you, our community, to help us help him. As a family we have made many sacrifices along the way and this won’t change.

This next year will require even more hours on tennis court and more travelling for ITF tennis tournaments which are mostly abroad and this can only be achieved with your help.

We are setting an initial target of £10 000 which will help Pav in the coming year to continue improving as a tennis player, competing internationally and reaching new heights. Whatever you can contribute to help us reach this target is important and beyond value to all three of us.

Thank you, Pav’s parents.
