My name is Ritaj, I am 23 years old, from Gaza. I used to live an ordinary life like any other girl my age, dreaming of a better future and striving to achieve my ambitions. But in a single moment, my life changed forever.

In the last war, my family was displaced, and we were torn apart. I lived with them in our modest home, but the war destroyed everything. My little brother, who is 10 years old, my teenage sister, and I were forced to flee to the southern part of Gaza by the occupation forces, while the rest of my family remained in the north of the Gaza Strip. Suddenly, I became the sole provider for them. I wasn’t prepared for this enormous responsibility, but life doesn’t give us any other choice.

At first, I tried to overcome my shock and stay strong. Every day, I woke up with new hope that I could help them and provide for their basic needs. But as time went by, the situation became much harder. Prices skyrocketed, and things we once considered basic, like food and water, became scarce. Electricity goes out for long hours, water doesn’t reach our homes regularly, and finding work has become more difficult than ever.

Some days, I sit with my little brother and feel helpless in front of him. He thinks I can solve all of his problems, but he doesn’t know the struggles I face just to provide his most basic needs. My sister, too, relies on me for everything, but she is a teenager and needs special care and attention. I live day by day, and sometimes I can’t even provide one meal for us.

But despite everything, I can’t give up. I need help—not just to survive, but to maintain our dignity and hope for the future. I am doing my best to find work, but there aren’t many opportunities in these harsh conditions.

Today, I am writing these words to reach out to you, hoping that you find it in your hearts to help. Any donation, no matter how small, can help provide a better life for me and my family. I need all the support I can get to secure food, medicine, and daily necessities.

أنا ريتاج… قصة حياة وسط الظلام”

اسمي ريتاج، عمري 23 سنة، من غزة. لطالما كنت أعيش حياة عادية مثل أي فتاة في سني، أحلم بمستقبل أفضل، وأسعى لتحقيق طموحاتي. لكن، في لحظة واحدة، تغيرت حياتي إلى الأبد.

في الحرب الأخيرة، لقد تشردنا وتفرقت عائلتي. كنت أعيش معهم في منزلنا المتواضع، إلا أن الحرب دمرت كل شيء. تفرقنا انا شقيقي الصغير الذي يبلغ من العمر 10 سنوات، وشقيقتي التي ما زالت مراهقة نزحنا إلى جنوب القطاع تحت اجبارنا من قبل الاحتلال وباقي عائلتي بقوا في شمال القطاع. أصبحت الآن، فجأة، المعيلة الوحيدة لهم. لم أكن مستعدة لهذه المسؤولية الضخمة، ولكن الحياة لا تترك لنا خياراً آخر.

في البداية، كنت أحاول أن أتجاوز صدمتي وأبقى قوية. كل يوم أستيقظ مع أمل جديد أنني أستطيع أن أساعدهم وأوفر لهم أبسط احتياجاتهم. ولكن، مع مرور الوقت، أصبح الوضع أصعب بكثير. الأسعار أصبحت خيالية، والأشياء التي كنا نعتبرها بديهية مثل الطعام والماء أصبحت نادرة. الكهرباء تغيب لساعات طويلة، والمياه لا تصل إلى منازلنا بانتظام، والبحث عن عمل أصبح أكثر صعوبة من أي وقت مضى.

في بعض الأيام، أجلس مع شقيقي الصغير وأشعر بالعجز أمامه. هو يظن أنني أستطيع حل كل مشاكله، لكنه لا يعرف كم أواجه من صعوبات في سبيل توفير أبسط احتياجاته. شقيقتي، هي الأخرى، تعتمد عليّ في كل شيء، لكنها في سن المراهقة، وتحتاج إلى عناية واهتمام خاص. أعيش يومًا بيوم، وأحياناً لا أتمكن من تأمين وجبة طعام واحدة لنا.

لكن رغم كل شيء، لا أستطيع الاستسلام. أنا بحاجة إلى المساعدة، ليس فقط من أجل البقاء، ولكن من أجل الحفاظ على كرامتنا وأملنا في الحياة. أنا أحاول بكل قوتي أن أعمل، ولكن ليس هناك الكثير من الفرص في ظل هذه الظروف القاسية.

اليوم، أكتب هذه الكلمات وأنا أتوجه إليكم، عسى أن تجدوا في قلوبكم الرحمة للمساعدة. كل تبرع، مهما كان صغيرًا، يمكن أن يساعدني في تأمين حياة أفضل لي ولعائلتي. أنا بحاجة إلى كل دعم لتوفير الطعام والدواء والضروريات اليومية.
