Support Riverview Families After Flood Disaster
Donation protected
We are starting this as some disaster relief for residents of Riverview Apartments in East Asheville. Lives were lost, people are still missing, whole units and cars washed away. Families are left with absolutely nothing. There really are no words to describe this catastrophe. We are all still in complete shock.
Being along the Swannanoa River that rose over 27 feet, the entire property is considered “a total loss”. There were 24 units at this complex.
Most are in need of financial assistance whether that be temporary housing, clothes, food, water, family funeral costs…etc. People will be out of work for some time.
Many people have reached out to donate. The basic needs of Doug and I are met now. We appreciate all the love, support, and generosity but we feel this is where donations should go at this time. We are going to work with our rental company and get any donations dispersed amongst all the displaced residents and their families.
Times are tough so if you do not have the financial means that is completely understandable. We ask moving forward everyone please please always lookout for your neighbors and spread as much love and support to everyone you cross paths with in life.
