Support Rob Barenz's Cancer Recovery Journey

I’m starting this GoFundMe for my friend Rob (RJ) Barenz to help with the cost of medical co-pays, transportation, and lost wages. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and is in the midst of recovering from treatments. He is part of many activities and circles, so I’m hoping his co-workers, hiking buddies, gym friends, artist peers and fans can pitch-in to support his journey. No amount is too small!

He was diagnosed with cancer over the winter of 2024. He’s endured 7 weeks of chemo and 35 painful radiation treatments and is slowly recovering. He lost 45 pounds and went from being physically fit, strong, and capable to physically frail, weak, and vulnerable.

While he is sick and away from work he is keeping up his fighting spirit. The discipline that he used in gym, he is applying to his recovery. He is going to the clinic 5 days a week, closely monitoring his intake, and sticking to a strict medication regime. He’s doing very well given what his body has been through!
