“Thank you everyone for taking the time to visit my fundraiser page.
My name is Rob. Some of you may know me and some of you may not. Here's a little bit about myself and my situation.
I started this journey, with my family and my medical team.
Some of you may know that I was involved in a vicious car accident and a household accident. Both accidents took place the year I turned 21. This is important, because this is the 1st time my illness was diagnosed incorrectly.
It's was diagnosed as Chronic Kidney Diease, with trauma from the car accident.
I would later in life learn that I have a diease called Polycystic Kidney Disease. Or, PKD. In my case this is hereditary.
There is no cure for this disease.
This disease has progressed over the years and currently I am in full stage Kidney (renal) failure.
I am being placed on the U of M kidney transplant list and will also be placed on the Toledo Hospital transplant list. This means, I am registered in two different states, in hopes for the best possible outcome.
I recently had surgery to prepare me for dialysis. As a result from the previous surgeries that followed my accidents, the scar tissue has made this recent surgery unsuccessful. I have another surgery scheduled for later this week
They will be doing vascular surgery on my left arm, as another way for me to get the dialysis I need. I will be starting with Paratenal Dialysis. Progressing to Hemo Dialysis.
All of this said, this is going to be a serious next couple months and years. Not to mention the financial burden.
In our household, my wife and son are both type 1 diabetics. My son being diagnosed, only 11 months ago.
My family and I are both very aware of the current economy in which we live in, which makes asking for support that much harder. Please, if anything... we are asking for all of you to share this with as many people as you know, in hopes to provide some support for myself and my family during these difficult times.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. This all being said, I am now an open book.
Thank you all kindly!
Love, Rob”

Any support that you can offer right now, is greatly appreciated. This disease has already taken a toll on Rob’s every day life. He is currently unable to work and has already lost over 50 pounds. Rob is very tired and weak most of the time and despite the exhaustion, Rob is struggling to get the sleep his body desperately needs right now.
Robert and his family have been through so much already and I fear the road ahead, is going to be a challenging one, at best. During times like this, the financial burden can be mentally and physically draining. Any support we can give, will allow Rob, Becky and Ethan to focus and what really matters right now. We will keep you updated on Robs journey and thank you in advance for any love and support you can offer.
With love, Jessica Timberlake
