Robert "Gabe" Gabriel Needs Our Help
Donation protected
Everyone experiences hard times to varying degrees brought on by life events, unforseen circumstances and our own choices. Hard times can often leave us in a distant, lonely and seemingly hopeless place. Getting back to a place of hope and opportunity sometimes requires help from caring friends. The approaching hurricane just increased the level of urgency and need.
Robert "Gabe" Gabriel is experiencing these hard times now alone in south Texas where he and his wife, Armida, lived together until her sudden death in 2018. Since her passing, his life has become increasingly lonely, secluded and disconnected. With few possessions and no close support network, he is trapped and alone. He needs our help to relocate, reconnect and re-engage with hope and life.
We are "Friends of Robert Gabriel" and you probably are as well. You may know him as Bob, Bobby, Roberto or Gabe. Regardless of how you know him or where you met, you know him to be a fun, caring and loyal person. His personality brings people together and connects them in countless different networks of lifelong friends. These networks radiate from his beloved home town of Athens, GA.
We are trying to relocate Gabe back to Athens and get the support he needs for healthcare, housing, employment, transportation and most of all a sense of HOPE and community through caring friends.
Your generous donations will go a long way to meet our goal of bringing hope and opportunity back into Gabe's life. Please consider giving whatever you can, sharing this post with friends and including words of encouragement, prayers and shared memories in the comments. Tips requested by GFM are entirely optional, so please don't let their request deter your generosity.
This fund is being set up and administered by "Friends of Robert Gabriel," which includes Eli Alford, Bob Pless, Richard Boyd, Kevin Burke, Bill "Duck" Anderson, Mark Kuney and DeWayne Davis.
