Support Robert Rock In His Battle against Cancer

Hello friends and family,

My name is Jillian Rock and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the challenging news that my dad, Robert Rock (Bob, Rob, Rock, Coach, Grandpa), has been diagnosed with late-stage colorectal cancer. As we navigate this difficult journey, we are seeking your support to help alleviate the incredulous financial burden associated with his medical treatments and related expenses.

Robert was diagnosed with Late stage colo-rectal cancer in December of (2023). After beating lymphoma (2018), then diagnosed with prostate cancer (June 2023) we were IMMEDIATELY struck with yet another devastating diagnosis. These diagnoses have brought not only physical challenges but emotional challenges, and of course financial challenges as well.

Robert has a general contracting business he’s been running himself for close to 25 years (Rock Construction). You might also know of our dad from coaching countless years for both of my brothers and me through little league and travel baseball and softball. Since we have all grown, my dad still serves countless teams, athletes, and coaches through working with Premier Girls Fastpitch. He maintains the playing fields all through Southern California to help give athletes the opportunity to play in front of coaches from their dream universities from across the nation. Unfortunately, my dad has had to completely put a stop to working both.

My parents have endured so much in different emergency rooms during the holidays, including surgeries to try to remove this mass in his colon, many different types of scans, white blood cell transfusions, chemotherapy for 72 hours straight every other week, not to mention radiation appointments 5x a week, and weekly in home care. Although we do have insurance, we are responsible for 30% of every bill, and chemotherapy alone costs us $2700 every other week! The treatments have at least quadrupled in price since they’ve added additional cocktails to mitigate the side effects of his treatments. We still have a long road ahead, not to mention at least two more surgeries to go through to reach our goal of 100% CANCER FREE!

Our mom, Julie has been an indispensable resource of love, support and unwavering determination to get my dad and our family through this as intricately, quickly and painlessly as possible. She works at home for her new business tirelessly, all the while going through this every step of the way, hand in hand with Robert.
