Support Rohan Wong's Road to Recovery

In late November, our beloved friend, teacher, and church leader, Rohan Wong suffered a devastating stroke from a brain bleed that required emergency life-saving surgery. After seven challenging weeks in the hospital, Rohan is now beginning his journey to recovery at a rehabilitation facility.
The stroke has significantly impacted Rohan's mobility, particularly on his left side. He faces a long road of intensive therapy to regain his ability to walk and perform daily activities independently.
For nearly four decades, Rohan has been a pillar of strength and service in our community. As Vice Principal of Jamaica College (his beloved alma mater), he has touched countless young lives, helping students achieve their full potential while providing invaluable support to the school's leadership, Old Boys Association, and faculty. His dedication to education goes far beyond the classroom – he's a mentor, counsellor, and coach to both his peers and young people alike.
At the Kingston Church of Christ, where he has been a faithful member for almost 40 years, Rohan has served in numerous leadership roles including Minister, Youth Minister, and deacon. His work with the Marrieds, Teens, and Campus Ministries, as well as his support for Church Missions and various other operations, has been instrumental in growing the congregation and uplifting fellow members spiritually.
At home, Rohan is a devoted father to Regina and a loving husband to Shelley, his wife of 33 years. Known for his legendary cooking skills and warm hospitality, he has opened his home countless times for both large and small gatherings, feeding not just bodies but souls with his culinary delights, trademark humour and generous spirit.
In response to numerous queries from friends, colleagues, members of the church family, and other well-wishers asking how they can help we have established this fundraising account. Anyone wishing to provide financial assistance can use this mechanism to support Rohan's rehabilitation program. The funds will help cover the intensive therapy he needs to walk, run, dance, and cook again, and return to being the dynamic, energetic person we all know and love.
Our goal is to provide an accessible avenue for those who wish to support Rohan’s rehabilitation and help him continue the vibrant, active life he once led. We just want to see his infectious smile and experience his boundless energy once more.
Together, we can help this remarkable man – our teacher, mentor, friend, and pillar of our community – return to the life and people he loves so dearly.
