Support Rohnert Park Cotati Teachers
Donation protected
Dear Community:
On the evening of Thursday, March 17 (Strike Day 6), Rohnert Park Cotati Educators Association (RPCEA) came to a tentative agreement with CRPUSD and teachers returned to classrooms on Friday.
Teachers went on strike because our community has been facing a crisis in our schools due to unacceptably low wages that prevent CRPUSD from recruiting and retaining the best educators for our students. CRPUSD’s teacher salaries have been 20% below the state average, while the cost of living in Sonoma County is one of the highest in the state. After months of futile negotiations, RPCEA authorized a work stoppage beginning March 10, 2022.
Teachers are not paid when they are on strike. Most of our members depend on their full income to make ends meet. All funds raised will go to providing for any loss of wages due to striking. We thank you for your continued support!
