Support Roland's Family and Honor His Legacy

Donation protected
For those of you don't know me we lost my future father-in-law, Roland, on May 25th. Roland was battling a very aggressive and terrible form of Brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme. We found out that Roland had GBM in the middle of December at which it was already in a severely advanced state. Roland wasn't giving up and was willing to try anything so that he would continue being around for his kids, grandkids, and mine and Jodie's wedding.

For those not close to the family or myself, life for the past 7 months has felt like a fever dream. In November Roland's 99 year old father Clarence passed away, in December we found out Roland's cancer diagnosis and the extent of it, and in February Roland's 94 year old mother Dallia passed away. Having to navigate life and continue your day to day after so much loss and also having to face down cancer was a lot for the Junek family to deal with.

Roland meant so much to everyone in the family as he was hard worker, a family man, and a cattle farmer. I truly admired Roland and looked forward to getting to hang out with him for years to come, but God had other plans in store for him. We all miss him dearly and are devastated with the passing of Roland as he fought so hard to continue to be around.

Roland had 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and soon to be his favorite son-in-law, things haven't been easy for any of us, especially having to put 3 memorial services together and 3 burials. I am putting this gofundme together to help offset the cost of their father's funeral expenses, raise money for Hospice Brazos Valley, a donation in Roland's name to the "Glioblastoma Foundation", and possibly something to be able to thank his wonderful hospice nurse Caitlin Strong.

Roland used to come out to the food truck to hang out with myself and Jodie to have a burger and a few beers from time to time, because he loved my burgers, but I would assume he loved us too. He could no longer make the trip to the food truck after his diagnosis so I would send him 2 Burgers and some tacos every weekend. One of the last full meals he ate was one of my burgers about a week before his passing. Upon finishing that burger, Roland said, "It's like a Mafia Burger". Nobody knows what it means, but he definitely loved it.

So since Roland loved my burger's so much I will have the food truck open on Sunday June 16th, Father's Day, so that I can sell strictly burgers to help raise money to put forward to this Gofundme.

My plan is to keep this GoFundMe open for a bit past the event, but my plan for the split is as follows :
Roland's Family $10,000
Hospice Brazos Valley: $5000
Glioblastoma Foundation: $5000
Caitlyn Strong $500

Thank you to everyone, and I hope to see you on Father's Day.
