Support 101.7 BAY FM's Ron Jeffries in his battle with ALS

Donation protected
All of us at BAY FM are sad to announce that Ron Jeffries no longer hosts our morning show. As Operations Manager for 15 years Ron was a big contributor to our success.
Ron’s new health issues with ALS are paramount, and we all support him in his challenges ahead.
Over the decades, Ron hosted hundreds of events and live broadcasts, including the Kilmarnock Christmas Parade.
His personal attention to local church and religious programs showed as he took extra hours editing to make them the most professional. Ron’s relationships and service with BAY FM advertisers is also deep. His history is marked by his thirst for new skills, his willingness to tackle difficult problems and his lack of ego.
Ron is a “born here” commuting daily from his home on the York River. This 81 mile daily round trip included many risky weather days. Recently, he collided with deer – twice in a month. But stories miss the core of his spirit – Ron is simply a nice guy.
Today Ron can no longer commute. ALS is taking its toll. We stay in touch via phone, text and zoom. Ron truly helped our community. And now we want to help him in his personal battle with ALS.
In that spirit, we’ve started a GoFundMe Fund for Ron’s care as his disease progresses. Our Team has already begun donating and will continue. We encourage you to join us. No amount is too small; each donation is a sign of support and goodwill for Ron and the years he served us.
