12/8 Update: My mother’s husband, Tim, has passed away due to stage 3 lung cancer that spread rapidly beyond treatment. My mom remains in a hospice house in my hometown because she requires around the clock care and would otherwise be alone in the home (as I’m in Atlanta). My mother was diagnosed with AIDS when I took her to the hospital back in November. Doctors estimate she’s had it upwards of 8 years, and as a result of having HIV without knowing for so many years, she has developed PML (Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy), a very rare and mostly fatal brain disease.
Because of how progressed she is in these diseases, we have chosen hospice to ensure she is comfortable and cared for in this part of her life. We don’t know how much time we have left with her, we obviously hope for the best but expect the worst. All funds will be going towards any hospice/medical/outstanding bills the family will need to cover as well as any memorial services should it come to that.

My name is Bella, and I’m looking to raise money to assist my mom not only with getting medical care but with bills while we navigate getting her insurance and disability.
Over the past year, my mom (who was always working or doing crafts in her free time) began to suffer strokes/seizures, and within these past 6 months, she also lost close to 100 pounds at random. For those of you who don’t know my mom, my mom was someone always in contact with me (as I live hours away), always sending me updates even if it was just about her day at work, and was a silly, goofy woman. During the hurricane in October, my mom went MIA for a few days. My family found her immobile, unable to care for herself, and generally in a fog. I drove 8 hours from Atlanta to take her to the ER myself, where she was put into hospital care for three weeks. I’ve received minimal answers to why she’s in this state, and now, they’ve returned her home (to the point of transporting her in an ambulance) and left her at home to rot. Her husband has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and is physically unable to care for her. I’m doing all I can, but I’m only 26 and my family can also only do so much in their free time, and no agencies will help us. I don’t want us to fail her.
Any donations will go towards bills (monthly + medical) as well as supplies for my family to care for her (bed pads, Ensure, a new walker, etc.)
