Support Root to Rise Farm's Tractor Purchase

Root to Rise Farm is committed to growing beautiful, healthy food for our community. We are losing access to the tractor we currently lease and are trying to raise $12,000 to purchase a smaller, more fuel-efficient one to turn compost, prepare fields, and reduce the physical strain of manual labor. While the majority of our farm's systems are intentionally human-scaled, the thoughtful use of mechanical power protects one of our key farming resources, our bodies, from repetitive stress injuries and helps to ensure sustainability in our profession.

With razor-thin profit margins in vegetable farming, staying debt-free is crucial to our mission. It will allow us to continue to pay our employees a livable wage and have a financial safety net for our family, both of which are challenging in our field.
