Help Rosalyn Wagler reduce her pain level from CRPS

Rosalyn Wagler has been suffering from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) since 2015 and needs surgery to replace a spinal cord stimulator.

CRPS is a rare disease with no known cure. On the McGill pain scale, it’s rated more painful than childbirth and amputation. It's hard to find medication or treatment that works long-term. Rosalyn was diagnosed at the age of 27 and has been suffering from this for over 9 years now. Nearly 8 of those years were spent on crutches and in a wheelchair but recently she’s been able to walk, despite the pain and being told she shouldn’t because of bone thinning that is a result of CRPS. Miraculously her bone is holding her weight and the doctors are amazed and acknowledge that what she’s experiencing is definitely nothing short of a miracle. I have never met a person who has endured more pain for that length of time than Rosalyn. When asking her about pain levels from 0-10. Her pain level on average is a 5 and would fluctuate from 4-8.

A spinal cord stimulator (SCS) is an implantable device that can help relieve the pain of CRPS. She did have an SCS installed approximately 8 years ago, but the battery is weak and the device needs to be replaced. If this battery dies, she has orders from her doctor to head to the ER at Vanderbilt ASAP, and they will try to manage the pain with medications but they’ve already tried most medication options and had little to no results. The doctors are concerned about quite possibly not being able to control the pain well since the SCS does so much. They are hopeful a new one will be even more helpful because it’s a new system with new therapy options. She is a contributing member of a Healthshare program; however, they no longer cover this type of pain management.

Rosalyn has also had her share of close family members that had a lot of medical bills, her mom is laid up with dementia and needs full-time care by her dad and her sister. Her sister-in-law had been diagnosed with Lyme and has been laid up for over a year.

Part of her testimony reads: A favorite Bible verse is in Psalm 46:10. Be Still and Know that I am God. And a second close is the verse in Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds thru Christ Jesus.” In the midst of this busy world and all its craziness, there is that one place we can always go to, to find peace, rest, and solitude. Bringing Jesus into my everyday life is a huge part of my life to be honest. With chronic pain there are a lot of ups and downs but simply including Him and talking to Him thru the day has helped me so much! Someone once advised me to simply treat him like you would your best friend. Chat with him, sit with him, love him, drink your coffee and enjoy being in his presence. Tell him about all the little things, the big things, the happy things, the sad things, your worries and anxieties, your victories, and your dreams. He wants to hear it all!

Let me be clear, Rosalyn has never asked anyone to do any fundraiser, I took it upon myself to get involved in her case, as I was involved with assisting church members and their children, paying for medical bills since 1995 after my wife was hospitalized for 2 weeks leaving us with a large bill which we paid for in small payments over 6 years with church and family assisting.
