Support Rosie Reyes and Her 7 Children in Crisis

Donation protected
My name is Amalia Trengrove, I am looking to raise funds for a close friend of mine, who my children introduced me to through their friendship with the Reyes kids, years ago when our two oldest daughters (both 17, graduating high school this year!!) were just in elementary school. Our second oldest daughters became best friends and I love her kids like I love my own, and vice versa. Through the years we have seen Anthony, a loving and hands on father be mostly in a stable condition and on the correct medication, however he recently had an Inpatient stay. When Rosie came by with a handful of their 7 children, she mentioned that she is currently a single mama. I was for a moment dumbfounded, and thinking that they possibly split up, but she explained Anthony had been in patient for some time, maybe a month or more. I was so impressed and proud of her and she wasn’t complaining in any way, and I took note of how “together” she had everything. All of the girls had their hair done and pulled back and were clean and dressed, she was also put together and I never got to tell her just how much I admired her strength. Not only for keeping the kids all put together and clean and not making excuses to just sit around the house, but for holding down her entire family and her man, during this time. When my kids told me that Anthony was “missing” I assumed he would be home safely, very soon. I really wasn’t too worried for a good week or so. In this time still no complaints from Rosie and no excuses. It just amazes me because I can’t imagine being in her shoes and carrying on but she is like the epitome of a strong woman. Rosie and I bonded from early on because we have so much in common including that we are both licensed cosmetologists. She worked for many years, but Anthony was the primary source of income for the household. Right now having 7 children, and a missing husband she can’t even consider working. She’s devoted all of her time to finding him, even following up on a psychic lead, which was a dead end. She started a go fund me, in hopes to hire a private investigator to find and bring Anthony home, because his kids and her all really miss him (when I saw that there were only 3 donations I decided I had to do something. At first she was reluctant because she already had made the gfm to attempt to hire a pi to find him. But it has only recieved 3 donations. Yea. 3.. so I talked her into allowing me to make this one which is for basic living needs in a true emergency situation). He’s very confused and he’s under the belief that someone is looking to harm him, so we are holding onto hopes that he is hiding somewhere. He literally walked out of the family home without his cell phone and hasn’t returned. We don’t know how he is surviving, without any source of money..but we believe he is alive and well and out there and just needs to have his meds adjusted so he can be Anthony again) it’s been weeks now and things are falling apart and I don’t know what to do for my friends aside from look around my own home and try to stock her up a little bit so she doesn’t have to worry we much about things like if she is going to run out of baby wipes, I also noticed as she was leaving this evening that her two tires on the vehicle are in really bad shape. So I was really hoping the community would be able to pull together for this family of 7 innocent children and mother and help alleviate some of the burden. I mean what is the point if we can’t help one another, right? The household has 7 children ages 1-17. The two little ones in diapers are in a size 5 and in a 4t-5t pull up (both are girls not that we would be fussy and we would totally appreciate dinosaur pull ups for all I care lol as long as we can keep these guys clean and diapered) school is around the corner and I’m worried that the kids are all going to be asking to go shopping as I have 6 of my own children and have already been asked, so if it’s something that is passed down in new condition, or a gift card to a store in the mall for the teenage girls, or anything you can think of then obviously it’s beyond appreciated. Their sizes are as follows

Girl—17 year old I’m not too sure she fluctuates
Girl—14year old is small in shirts, pants vary if it’s sweat pants or leggings size small jeans idk
Girl—12 year old shirts adult xs/s sweat pants- small, leggings xs
Boy—8 year old- 10/12 shirts and pants
Boy—7 year old- 7/8 shirts and pants
(she only shared the school aged children’s clothing sizes bc she’s too worried about being greedy, and not used to having to ask the community for help. The other ones are toddler girls, and she doesn’t feel they “need” new clothes, but if anyone wanted to send hand me downs they are in about a 2t-3t lol)

if you can donate ANY amount, even 5 bucks.. it truly would be appreciated and I know if I were in her shoes I would really hate accepting things, it always feels funny to be in need and we don’t want the kids to feel embarrassed in any way but we don’t know when he’s coming home or if he’s coming home. And I will of course update everyone the second Anthony is located or any new news.. I honestly have a lot of faith in humanity and I know that there are many good people out there. It doesn’t have to be money. This family has to eat dinner every night too, so perhaps you make a mean baked ziti and you happen to have all of the ingredients. Household supplies are super appreciated and even ideas, I was thinking of putting a deck box of some sort outside of her house so people can easily drop off and not feel weird about It. You can remain anonymous or send a card with positive intentions, to help keep the kids busy and their spirits up. If you have children and they would be willing to draw a nice sunny picture for the little ones, that would be so awesome. It’s really confusing for the smaller kids and scary for the older ones.. Rosie isn’t the type of person who would turn her nose up at anyone’s thoughtfulness and something as simple as a pack of toilet paper or paper towels, paper plates, a case of baby wipes, a home cooked meal (or stouffers makes those meals for a large family for like 10 bucks a tray) would ever feel like it’s “not enough” to her. Not only are you saving her a trip to the store in a vehicle that I am not sure is even so safe after seeing it this evening, but you’re ensuring that her babies are fed and she can focus on staying positive and keeping her kids positive and healthy and being the amazing mama she was meant to be.

Anthony loves his family and his babies. He isn’t a drug user, and we are at a complete dead end and have to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. He loves those kids so much, infact he dedicated the book that he wrote to them. He adores them and wouldn’t walk out on them. All we can do is take it one day at a time right now and I just can’t imagine being in this mother’s shoes. I’m also going to find the name and model of the SUV because I’m certain it isn’t safe, any maybe someone has spare tires laying around or a connect with the local junk yard or would want to call them and ask if they ever would consider donating tires to a member of the community who literally needs them before hers end up blowing out, god forbid. She always has her kids with her so that would be awful and I’d like to prevent it! I posted a link to Anthony’s book below as well, he dedicated so much time and effort into writing it and this man would never just walk out on his family. He’s very brave and open about his mental illness in the book. For the entire time I’ve known them, he’s been very stable, and a hands on father. I know that he can and will be that same man again. We just have to get him home safely and in the meantime do anything we can to help. Mental illness is no one’s fault. His family doesn’t love him any less they really need him to come home.
