Support Rosmari and Her Cat After House Fire
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Rosmari Ribera. I am a college student from Providence, RI, and also in the Army National Guard, who is planning to leave for basic training in January. I have grown up on Atwells Avenue my whole life, and yesterday my whole life flashed before my eyes when my childhood home was up in flames.
I was at a soccer game in North Kingstown when I got an alarming call from my mother that my house was in flames with my cat still inside. After a thirty-minute drive back home, my cat was still not out, and I was in a panic. After about 30-60 minutes, finally, my cat was retrieved by the amazing firefighters I dealt with last night. But this was only the beginning. After many hours, I was finally able to enter my room to see everything in shambles: my clothes, my school desktop, my bed, my desk, my closet, my cat's stuff—all flooded with only a few things salvageable at the time.
I am not one to ask for help, even if I really need it, but for once in my life, I am asking for this help as I have close to nothing right now. I appreciate the support friends and family have given me this past day, and I continue to appreciate the support I will receive. I ask for you to take something from your heart and donate in this holiday season for a young girl and her cat with nothing.
