Support Roy Hunter's Recovery and Care

I'm Gregory Kuiper, a clinical hypnotist from Montreal, Canada. One of the first hypnosis books that I ever read that really impacted how I work as a hypnotist was written by Roy Hunter. You could say I became a Roy Hunter junkie because I went on to read all his books and utilize his hypnosis methodologies extensively in my clinical practice. I was fortunate to meet Roy in person several years later and we've been friends and colleagues ever since. Roy has always been passionate about hypnosis. He is full of life, generous, and eager to share his knowledge. I feel blessed to have him as a friend.

Roy is married to a lovely woman named Joanne and they've shared this union for the last 32 years. Unfortunately, Joanne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2009, and her life has been a struggle ever since. Fortunately, Roy has always been there for her as her primary caregiver, until very recently.

Sadly, on May 15, 2024, Roy had a stroke. He was in and out of the hospital for about a month and is now recovering at home. Roy is starting to slowly recover from his stroke, but he still faces many challenges. He is burdened with a catheter, has difficulty walking, and he's unable to drive a car. The car was such an essential part of Roy's ability to help Joanne get back and forth to her numerous weekly medical appointments. Roy is also struggling with his memory and concentration, making simple conversations difficult. Roy is a proud man, but he has come to accept that he can no longer be the sole caregiver for Joanne.

Roy and Joanne depend on daily visits from a nurse in the morning and at night. Unfortunately, these services are not free, and Roy now has to pay for someone to do what he once did for himself and Joanne. Roy estimates the caregiver alone is costing about $2000 per month.

Roy is unable to work, and he's lost considerable revenue from his lectures, hypnosis sessions, and workshops. This combination of a perfect storm has left Roy and Joanne in a very difficult financial situation with Roy now having very few options for income.

After speaking about Roy with my friend Scott Sandland at the recent HTLive conference, we both decided we would find a way to help Roy financially. As some of you may know, Scott recently launched an AI robot (based on Roy Hunter) that you can interact with to gain knowledge about hypnosis. It's a wonderful tool, and those that have used it have come to appreciate Roy's vast knowledge of hypnosis. We are hopeful that users of the Hunter bot will become even more interested and decide to purchase one of Roy's books and/or leave a donation on this GoFundMe page to help Roy get back on his feet.
