Royal Robotic Teams

We are the proud parents of 6446A, 6446B and 6446C Royal Robotics Teams representing Rancho Del Rey Middle School in Chula Vista, California. All 3 teams are qualified for the 2018 California VRC Middle School State Championship on February 25, 2018 and March 4, 2018. The Team's goal is to qualify at the State Championship to compete in the upcoming World VEX Robotics Championship in Kentucky scheduled for April 25th through the 28th, which is coming up fast!
Last year one of the teams qualified for the World Championship. This year we are on the same path. Our kids have worked hard over the course of the year and their efforts have resulted in all these amazing trophies and are ready to qualify for World Championship again! (Tournament Champion Award, Excellence Award, 2 Design Awards, Skill Champion Award, 2 Judges Awards, Teamwork Award, Sportmanship Award, Think Award and 2 Tournament Finalist Awards, )
The school district is only able to cover the registration fee and the cost for a teacher to accompany the students as their coach to the World Championship. It’s up to us to cover all the other costs. We're asking for your help and support to get these kids to have the opportunity to attend the World Championship Event. It’s an amazing opportunity, and we can’t help but want to do everything we can to get them there. We just need a little help! We know these amazing kids will qualify to go to Worlds.
How will the funds we raise be used?
• The first priority is covering the costs for the kids to compete: travel, lodging, meals, transportation, team t-shirts, and shipping the robot, tools and supplies.
• If we are fully able to cover those costs, we hope to have some funds to cover all or some portion of the costs for us moms who are volunteering to travel with and support the kids at this competition.
• Any unused funds will be donated to the Royal Robotics team for future teams to carry on the legacy.
Here's a look at the 2016 Vex World Championship to give you an idea of the scope of the competition. We hope you'll support us in starting to plan for the World Championship. Thank you!
