Born on January 2, 1953, Mike lived a life full of passion, creativity, and unwavering love. He was a bomb builder, a man with incredible talent, and a heart that was always open to helping others. But above all, Mike was the love of Roz’s life, and their journey together was nothing short of miraculous.

In 1970, at just 17 years old, Mike met Roz, his high school sweetheart and the woman who would forever hold his heart. A year later, they welcomed a baby girl into the world, but in a devastating turn of events, they were told their daughter had passed away. Soon after, Mike and Roz were separated, their lives forever changed by heartbreak and loss.

But love has a way of enduring even the darkest times. In 2000, their daughter—who they had been told was gone—found Roz. It was a moment of unimaginable joy and healing. And in 2009, by a stroke of fate, their daughter found Mike after searching for him online. It was through their daughter that Mike and Roz were reunited after nearly four decades apart. One simple message from Roz to Mike: "Hi, it’s me. I just want to tell you, your daughter is independent," was all it took to reignite the bond they thought had been lost forever. From that moment on, their love story began anew, stronger than ever before.

As life moved forward, Mike became not just Roz's partner but her caretaker. In 2003, Roz was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease, a life-threatening condition that slowly took away her ability to live independently. In 2015, Roz’s battle escalated, and she began dialysis, eventually receiving a kidney transplant the same year. Throughout this time, Mike remained her rock, providing not just emotional support but taking on the full responsibility of her care. He never wavered in his devotion to Roz, the love of his life.

Now, with Mike’s unexpected passing, Roz finds herself alone and in desperate need of help. The disease that has ravaged her body has left her unable to work or care for herself. Without Mike, she faces insurmountable medical expenses and the daily costs of living that she simply cannot afford.
