Support Ruben "Ruvy" Garcia's Family During This Tough Time

Donation protected
Hello everyone. It is with a heavy heart and deep condolences to have to create this GoFundMe to assist in the financial hardships during this tough time for my family and myself.

For those who may not already know, my grandfather- or "Tata", as we all called him- Ruben "Ruvy" Garcia made his way into Heaven to be reunited with his beloved wife Angie and his youngest son Arthur on Thursday, June 6th, 2024. Ruben was the embodiment of Faith, Love, and Strength, and raised his children in just this manner. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

Our Tata's home was always full of love, laughter, and God. No matter the circumstance, he never let his family down. He continued to live and serve as one of God's beautiful children. Ruben is survived by three children: Olympia, Benny, and Ray, and two bonus daughters: Cristina and Michele. He is also survived by many grandchildren: Symon, Freddy, Alexis, Priscilla, Jack, and Max, as well as two bonus grandchildren: Jose and Sam, and three great-grandchildren: Angel, Eli, and Jesse.

Tata Ruben wasn't just the glue that kept this family together, but the heart and soul, and the reminder that we should all strive to live as God created us to: with never-ending faith, and unconditional love to those around us. Our Tata left us to finally enter God's great doors, to spend eternity in Heaven with his loved ones. Although his passing has left us all feeling sorrow and grief, we not only shed tears of sadness but cry tears of joy as our hearts are warmed by the picture of Tata finally at peace, living pain-free and happy surrounded by family and friends up above. We know he is up there talking up a storm, reminiscing on all of the time he had with us who remain earth-bound.

Although our hearts will forever miss him, and our lives won't ever be the same, it brings a smile on our faces knowing he's making his grandpa jokes, chanting "That's the woody wood pecker's so-o-o-ong" when the padres hit a home-run, yelling "America the Beautiful", "Cut my legs and call me shorty", and other quirky sayings of his we will always remember him for, and creating beautiful art as he did so passionately during his time with us here.

I will leave you with this: Let us not be full of sorrow, but abundant in Faith and continue living so graciously, selflessly, and beautifully as he once did.

Love,
Priscilla and family
