Hey there,
I'm Rude Vianna, and I'm reaching out to you today to share my journey and ask for your support. I'm a 24-year-old individual on a courageous journey to live my authentic self. I'm a racialized trans fem non-binary person from Brazil, and my story is one of resilience, determination, and hope.
Growing up in the tough neighborhood of Belford Roxo, Brazil, I faced challenges that most people can't even imagine. I was raised by a single black mother alongside four siblings in extreme poverty, and my early years were marked by hardship. But despite the odds stacked against me, I've always been a fighter. I became an activist, engaging in powerful acts of resistance, such as occupying empty buildings to demand justice and change.
But it wasn't just my surroundings that posed a threat; being trans in Belford Roxo, one of the most dangerous places in Brazil for trans individuals, was a daily struggle. The statistics speak for themselves: between 2016 and 2021, at least 964 trans and gender-diverse people were brutally murdered in Brazil. This violence peaked in 2017, with a horrifying 171 reported victims.
In 2019, I made the courageous decision to seek asylum in Berlin, Germany, escaping the very real threat to my life. However, my journey took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. The good news is that I am now receiving the professional care and medication I need to manage my condition.
Despite these challenges, I've remained unyielding in my pursuit of happiness and authenticity. For three years, I've been on hormone therapy, a vital step in my journey. However, the dysphoria and violence I still encounter in public spaces remind me that there's another significant step I need to take - gender-affirming top surgery.
This surgery isn't just about my physical appearance; it's about my mental and emotional well-being. It's about feeling comfortable in my own skin and finding safety in a world that has often been cruel. At my workplace, I face constant misgendering and disrespect, which can be deeply disheartening.
Since arriving in Germany, I've shown incredible resilience. I've performed at numerous Berlin queer events, trying now to start my own cathering business, and have been diligently learning German. I'm a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of comunnity. Since i get attacked from time to time i need to heal in order to maintain my mental health and life…
By contributing to this GoFundMe campaign, you're not just helping me get the surgery I so desperately need; you're giving me the chance to live authentically, to feel safe, and to be respected for who I truly am.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Every dollar counts, and your support means the world to me.
Thank you for being a part of my journey toward happiness and authenticity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
