Support Russell’s (Thomas) Heart Transplant Journey

We are rallying to support our friend and community leader Thomas (Russell) Redwood a dedicated college athlete and Division One competitor, who has faced unimaginable challenges over the past year.

Initially diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, Thomas was unfortunately met with medical neglect when his first cardiologist dismissed his symptoms and told him to return in six months. This delay led to a rapid decline in his health, and he now finds himself in congestive heart failure, waiting for a heart transplant.

Thomas battles this life-threatening condition, he faces mounting medical bills, rent, and everyday expenses.

We are seeking your help to alleviate some of this financial burden and allow him to focus on his recovery without the stress of overwhelming costs.

Russell has always been a source of inspiration and joy. As a college athlete, he dedicated himself to the game he loved, pushing his limits and bringing people together through his passion for basketball.

He has spent countless hours hosting community festival's @bornreadyla events and most recently founded a non profit organization @Bornreadyproject which fosters to create opportunities for local businesses, community spirit. Throughout his health decline due to heart failure and now,he finds himself in a position where he needs the support of that very community he has always uplifted.
