Support Russ's Emergency Dental Extraction

Hi my name is Russ Thompson.

I'm raising funds for an emergency medical situation. On April 12. 2024 I started experiencing extreme pain in my left back molar. The tooth had broken last year, but I have never had the money to go see the dentist about pulling the tooth. That situation hasn't changed. The tooth is another story.

After I got home Friday night, I took some ibuprofen and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning my face (jaw) had swollen to the size of a golf ball.

I spent Saturday in extreme pain and discomfort, but used my time to further a game plan. The tooth can no longer be pulled, it is now at the "Surgical Extraction" point. I'll most likely need an antibiotic to relieve the swelling before the tooth can actually be taken out. This is going to take multiple Urgent Care, Dentist, and Pharmacy visits.

The extraction itself will cost around $750, not to mention x-rays, or post op medication. The urgent care bill will be around $200, and I'll need money to get the antibiotics as well.

I just moved, so I'm beyond broke right now. I have no insurance and the last time I applied for dental credit care, I was denied based on lacking proof of income.

I'm a full time musician, performer, and entertainer. I travel to play shows at bars and restaurants and I am a street performer, busking wherever I can.

This tooth is infected and needs to be extracted as soon as possible. Threat of blood poisoning, jaw (bone) infection, and even possible brain damage if the tooth abscesses and ruptures exist right now and will not go away until I can have the procedure done.

I'll be getting all of the work done at Friendly Dentistry in Greensboro, NC. I trust Dr. Andrew Burton and his staff. They took care of my last tooth that had gotten this bad, so I know they're up to the challenge.

Can you please help me get the medical treatment I need and donate to get this tooth out of my head?
