Support Rusty's Life-Saving Surgery Costs

Friends, family, and strangers, meet my fur baby Rusty! He is currently in the veterinary hospital for emergency surgery.

Over the past two weeks, Rusty was throwing up consistently and has been very weak and lethargic. He wouldn’t eat anything and would only drink water when we hand scoop it to his mouth. We visited the veterinary emergency twice and have walked out with Rusty receiving IV fluids (due to dehydration) and pain medicine.

Today we had gone in to see his primary doctor only to be advised to get an immediate surgery today or he would not make it. During his ultrasound, his doctor discovered that his intestine was clogged due to foreign objects.

His diagnosis happened so suddenly that I feel like the rug has been ripped from under me.

I currently am not employed as I’m giving birth to my firstborn in about 10 weeks and have already depleted my savings just to get the doctors to operate on Rusty today.

Rusty is SO special to me and I am trying to do everything I can to avoid making a decision about whether he survives or not based on finances.

UPDATE:

Rusty had a successful surgery and doctor was able to remove the foreign objects in his intestine. Unfortunately they couldn’t repair his intestine so they had to take out a good chunk and sew it back up. Rusty is now on the road to recovery and will be monitored closely to make sure that no infection or bacteria grows where the incision cut is for the next two weeks.
