Support Ryker and Koba's Cancer Battle

This year we've been hit by a lot of unexpected illnesses with the dogs, including two being diagnosed with cancer. In September, we learned that Ryker had a large mammary tumor that was removed for $1,500. This tumor was a Grade 2 Carcinoma, and there's a good chance it will return.

In October, Koba was diagnosed with a TCC tumor after months of it being misdiagnosed as a bladder infection. The total cost to diagnosis this tumor was $2,500. Ultimately, there's a tumor in his bladder that can't be removed, and the treatment is palliative care. This means keeping the tumor small and prevent it from growing for as long as possible. This includes a daily anti-inflammatory and six (or more) rounds of chemo. Ongoing expenses include these two items, along with frequent blood panels, x-rays, ultrasounds, and special supplements and food for both dogs.

Total costs paid already this year for unexpected vet bills have totaled $7,500, with at least another $3,500 expected for the next year. We also have a new baby due this December, so these unexpected expenses are taking a heavy toll financially.

We do have a Care Credit card that has helped a lot with paying this off over time. I don't expect my friends and followers to cover all our vet bills by any means, so I've only made this fundraiser for less than half of what the expected costs are.
