Support Rylinn's Fight Against Cancer

Hello everyone. I am creating this fundraiser to raise money for Rylinn a 19 month old recently diagnosed with cancer. This has all happened very quick without any warning. Here is how Adrienne(mother) explains what has happened this far. “I never thought I would have to share this news but we need all the prayers for our little girl. June 20th we ended up at children’s in St.Louis. I noticed that Wednesday her gait was off and she was falling every five steps. She had just gotten over hand foot and mouth so we were diagnosed at the time with acute cerebellar ataxia. We were told this can happen after that virus and even with it being rare it would resolve itself, also told it would get worse before it gets better. The next day we noticed her tremors were getting worse along with her balance. By Saturday she couldn’t stand and her poor tremors were intensified tremendously. I called the on call neurologist to see if this was normal and we were told it is but if it gets worse call the clinic on Monday to follow up sooner. Monday rolled around and our poor girl was even worse. We ended up back at children’s and found out this is more severe than we imagined. Rylinn was admitted to the neurology floor and immediately set up for a sedated MRI and lumbar puncture. While waiting the neurology team wanted to obtain a CT CAP and made sure it was completed yesterday. The neurology team informed us this was to rule out any tumors. After hours of agony we got the news that made our hearts sink. Rylinn was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma and this was what was causing her neurological symptoms. Unfortunately this tumor is also causing a disorder called opsoclonus-myoclonus-ataxia syndrome or OMAS for short. We met with the oncology team very soon after the news and they are 90% sure it’s cancerous due to the scans and due to it causing the OMAS. Surgery came in today and informed us that it is located on a nerve near the main artery that supplies blood to her kidneys and liver so realistically it can not be resected completely which was our hope. We are asking for all the prayers.. tomorrow at 1150 she has to have an open biopsy of the tumor along with a plasmapheresis line placed. After surgery they are taking her over to have her first treatment. The next step is getting her OMAS under control with the plasmapheresis. We just need prayers that the surgery goes well and she recovers quickly. We are also praying it is either a low or intermediate grade in regards to the tumor. We just want our sassy little girl back to herself so we can kick this in the ass.”
Rylinn is such a strong little girl and we are hoping to be able to ease some of the financial stress from the family so they can focus on this sweet baby. Anything helps!
