Support Safe Travel for Michael & Malachi

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Megan. I am a mom of 4, 3 with special needs. I am currently trying to raise the funds to buy 2 special needs car seats for our twins, Michael & Malachi.

**UPDATE-We were donated enough for one seat from 2 very generous men. Wes Waller & Will Ewing of Pushing Limbits Non-Profit** Our goal has been adjusted from $5000 to $2500! Thank you Jesus!

UPDATE: WE REACHED OUR GOAL AND HAVE ENOUGH FOR BOTH SEATS NOW! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

I HATE to ask for help, but we have no other choice at this point. I have organized online garage sales, signed up to resale apps, and have tried just about anything I can to try to raise this money. We are also donating plasma and saving that to add to the fund. All proceeds from this will go to but two Convaid Carrot 3 Special Needs Restraint Seats.

Michael and Malachi were born via emergency C-section at 34 1/2 weeks gestation. We knew very quickly something was going on with Malachi and learned at about 9 months when Michael was TERRIFIED to lay back down from sitting up and wasnt babbling that there was something going on with him as well.

They have received hours and hours of therapy since they were 4 and 6 months old, and have made amazing progress. Michael is diagnosed with Level 2 Autism w/ Apraxia, and was completely non-verbal until 3.5 years old. He speaks now, but it is delayed and at times he goes mute. It's as if he just can't get his words to come out. He also struggles to express his needs. Meaning, he will sit hungry or thirsty if he can not get it himself. Think Forest Gump sitting all day at the bus stop instead of asking immediately for directions/help. That is Michael.

Malachi is diagnosed Autism Level 3, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disability, Periventricular nodular heterotopia and periatrial cystic leukomalacia with associated mild volume loss of the corpus callosum. Meaning he has a brain birth defect and a brain injury from a stroke or seizure in utero.

The also both have a genetic disorder which is still being researched that causes a variation to chromosome 16.

As of right now, they can not ride in the car unless I have someone to ride with us, sit between them, constantly remind them to stay seated, and forcefully keep them seated at times. My husband works 60+ hours per week, which means I dont have that extra hand often. We are supposed to travel 30 minutes to therapy biweekly and an hour on the interstate several times a month to see the neurologist, geneticist, developmental pedi, or psychiatrist at our local children's hospital. That cant happen right now, until we get the proper seats for them, because it is so dangerous to have them up and wandering the vehicle. They will also try to climb in the front seat and a childlock can not be put on the front doors. Ive had many dangerous encounters trying to "just make it work".

We would really appreciate any help more than you knew. May God bless you all.
Mark 10:14 says, [...] He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Luke 6:38 reads...
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you"

If you are interested in waffles, we also have those going on Facebook(Megan Mays). All proceeds go to their seats.
