Supporting Sage and the Bevan Family

On Saturday 18th March, just shy of her second birthday, our beautiful niece Sage had an accident resulting in significant burns to her right hand. Her 3 main fingers suffered full-thickness burns, and unfortunately due to the complexity of the areas affected, our little Sage will be undergoing intense treatment for some time to come.

This treatment includes multiple surgeries (3 of which our brave girl has already undergone in just one week alone) with an average of 1 to 2 surgeries per week in the coming weeks.

From there, our Sagey will have a long road to recovery and although we are unclear of exactly what this looks like right now, we know it’s going to be heavily involved, multiple trips to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, and time off work for Mum and Dad (our sister Kylie and brother in law Leighton).

Between having unpaid time off work, daycare fees to keep on top of, travel expenses etc we’re hoping to raise some funds for them so finances can be one less thing for them to worry about right now.

Kylie and Leighton have 2 older children Bodie and Lara, so we would also love for them to maintain their normal school and after school activities as much as possible, so any financial assistance will help with their older children as well.

Kye and Leighton have the biggest hearts and it breaks ours to see their hearts hurting so much right now. This has really rattled them to the core and although they are still wrapping their heads around what has happened, we know from the bottom of their hearts, they are so grateful for everyone’s love and support.
