Hello, my name is Teja Vemuri and I have set up this account for my cousin Sahiti & Satish Cherukuri (Chandu). On an afternoon last month, their lives changed in an instant. Sahiti Mannam was involved in a devastating accident, what started as a regular day turned into a nightmare while crossing the road, that left her with life-threatening injuries.

Sahiti has always been the heart of her family – caring, compassionate, and full of life. She is a devoted wife and an amazing mother to their four-year-old daughter.

The accident left her with multiple fractures, internal injuries, and following a devastating incident that left her with life-threatening injuries. When she was rushed to the trauma center, her chances of survival were extremely low due to severe blood loss, which required multiple blood transfusions. Since then, she has undergone over half a dozen major surgeries to address extensive injuries to her abdomen, including her liver, bladder, and kidney. Her pelvis and left leg sustained severe fractures, and she also suffered multiple broken ribs, kneecaps, thigh bones, shin bones, and heel bones. Sahiti has been on a ventilator and developed pneumonia due to fluid accumulation in her lungs. Currently, she remains heavily sedated and unable to communicate, continuing her recovery in the trauma ICU until she can be transferred to a rehabilitation facility.

The medical bills are mounting, and despite the incredible care she's receiving, the costs of her medical care, rehabilitation, and ongoing therapies are overwhelming. That's why I am reaching out to our community, friends, and kind-hearted strangers for help.
