Support Samantha's Recovery
Donation protected
To Samantha's community and beyond,
On Saturday, June 25, Samantha (she/they) was climbing Unicorn Peak at Mt. Rainier. After a rock she was holding to broke, they took a 20ft ground fall and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center (photo above), where we found out she broke her neck, back and right arm.
Since their admittance into the hospital, they have undergone two surgeries on their arm and spine. As of now she has no spinal cord damage nor damage to their internal organs.
Samantha has a long road to recovery ahead of them and will remain in Seattle with her family for the foreseeable future. My family - and especially Samantha - has immensely appreciated the support and well wishes.
To those who were there with Samantha in that moment - endless gratitude for giving her the care and attention she needed to be brought to safety.
We know Samantha will be okay and that she is well loved. Thank you to everyone who has donated, supported, sent messages and love. We've been having to increase the goal to meet the reality of her mounting medical costs. Please continue to donate to this fund to show your support, help with medical bills and at home care as we start her healing. Spread the word!
Love,
Andrea
