Support Samantha Copus (Regan) through her Leukemia Journey
Donation protected
Life changed in an instant for Sam and her family when she was unexpectantly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, on 25 Jan 2025.
Sammy will be spending much of the next year in and out of hospital focusing on fighting this disease so she can return to her three young boys, ages 10, 3 and 5 months.
During this time, she will be fiercely supported by her husband, Justin, her parents, brother and extended family. However, the realities of raising three, active, young boys, means that additional household support will be needed. This will not only help keep things running smoothly but will also help Justin finish his University studies (6 months to go), while supporting Sam.
In addition to household logistics, Sam faces the uncertainty that comes with losing her hair and the emotional challenges this will bring. While support services may contribute towards the costs of some head coverings, long-term costs, coupled with the need to replace clothing affected by her chemo, can be prohibitive when balancing other needs.
As Sam seeks comfort by sharing her story with others on social media, she has been deeply touched by the overwhelming support of family, friends and strangers, some with their own inspiring stories; and many have reached out to ask how they can help. We are now creating this space for her incredible community to offer support in whatever way that feels right. Every little bit will make a huge difference in easing the financial and logistical challenges that Sam and Justin are facing, so she can focus on her recovery. We may revise the goal once we have a clearer picture of the road ahead.
Thank you for your love, kindness and continued support as Sam and her family navigate this challenging time.
