Support Sandra Jennings' Cancer Journey

In late September, my sweet Mama, Sandra Jennings was diagnosed with colon cancer after undergoing a routine colonoscopy. After meeting with her Oncologist and Colo-Rectal Surgeon she will be undergoing a pretty extensive surgery on November 26 to hopefully remove the part of her colon that is cancerous. We are hopeful that she will not have to undergo any chemo treatment, but won't know for certain until after she has the surgery. We know that God will be with us every step of this journey and are trusting in his plan for our lives completely. First and foremost I ask for your prayers for my Mom, who is the strongest woman I know, her team of doctors and for Mason and I to be the best support system for her as we navigate this cancer journey together.

As you know, any major medical diagnosis, especially cancer comes with an extensive financial burden. We don't typically put our financial business out there, but as many of you know I am a single Mom to my son and sole financial provider. I take great pride in the life that I have built for him, but my Mom has been an integral part of this life we've created. She is 75 and still working full time to make sure that Mason is able to participate in sports and any other extra activities he wants to. She is the most selfless, giving person I have ever known and there is no way that I could do this life without her.

There are many unknowns surrounding her recovery time, medical expenses and how long she will be out of work. Her biggest worry right now is not herself but our financial security. I don't like asking for help, but I also want her to be able to go into this surgery and recovery with peace of mind and be able to focus on healing instead of worrying about finances. All donations will be used toward medical bills and living expenses while she is out of work. Anything is greatly appreciated, but mostly please just pray for complete healing.
