Support Sandy's Battle Against Colon Cancer

Hi my name is Julie and I am fundraising for my friend and colleague Sandy Burgess. Sandy is a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend to many. During a recent routine colonoscopy in April it was discovered that Sandy has Colon Cancer. She was officially diagnosed on May 2nd.

This has created a huge impact for Sandy and her family, both emotionally and financially.

Sandy has been a tireless educator in the Plymouth Public Schools since 2005. She has worked in a number of schools across the district. This diagnosis means Sandy will not be able to work her usual job in the Project Growth Extended Year (summer) program. Sandy's treatments are expected to continue into the fall. This will also impact her ability to start school in the fall.
