Support Sara Tafoya Fund

Sara Tafoya was involved in a traumatic hit and run vehicle accident and shooting on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was driving home from work where she was rear-ended by Quebec & Leetsdale in Denver. She kept driving in hopes to get the driver’s license plate information. Suddenly they started shooting at Sara. One bullet went through her windshield and hit her in her forehead and bounced off of her skull above her left eye. As she was still able to see out of her right eye, Sara pulled off by an apartment complex and called 911 where they immediately brought her to the ICU at Denver Health. Due to multiple CAT scans, the doctors are optimistic for minimal bleeding and bruising. They kept Sara in the hospital under observation to make sure no brain fluid was leaking. The surgeons have been able to remove and repair all loose skull fragments. Sara was able to go home on Friday, March 12th to spend the rest of her recovery at home.

 
We’re asking for help to raise money for Sara’s medical and vehicle damage expenses. As being part of the service industry, Sara has been unable to work most of 2020. She will be unable to work while she is recovering and it’s unforeseeable when she will be able to go back to work. As a beloved daughter, sister, cousin and dear friend, Sara consistently shows her commitment to lift up others and always brings a positive energy and good laugh to the people that she is with.
